The fair is coming to Catcliffe. It was booked prior to the recent issues at the Recreation Ground and we have worked hard to make this a safe and secure event in light of that. The fair will be fenced off with one entrance and a fire exit and all safety issues will be in place. They will also provide their own security. All visitors will be required to sign in using the NHS Covid App or by the gate stewards. No smoking is allowed on the rides. Entrance to the fair is free and all rides etc will be paid for by cash or card. No tickets will be available. You are asked to wear masks and use the sanitation stations. Let’s make this a positive event for the community.

We have been left with a massive clean up operation following the travellers trespass on our recreation ground. We hope residents bear with us while we achieve this to the standards required for health and safety. The pictures are just some of the examples of rubbish left behind but they do not show that left in resident’s property or the amount of human excrement left on the field and around the area of the ground.
We have had an inspection and review of the equipment in the playground. Several serious faults which could endanger any child using the facilities have been identified. We therefore have little option to declare the playground closed for the immediate future until a solution can be found. This is a regrettable decision. We can only apologise for the inconvenience caused but the safety of children is paramount. We will continue in our attempts to identify the culprits causing the damage and any help would be appreciated.
